Recommended by my cousin, El Fayrouz is an excelent hotel to stay in when in Luxor.

Arival in Luxor. Up front, the Luxor Temple peacefull in the morning sun. Behind us, a persistant 'hotel owner' trying to hassle us into his postcard hotel to earn some commision. (Note: also many friendly people live in Luxor.)
